Gleneagles House

Renovation.

Working on the Gleneagles house was a rewarding project, involving thoughtful alterations and additions to an existing fibre cement residence in Torquay, on Victoria's stunning Surf Coast.

The client’s brief for the renovation was to refresh the aging and deteriorating facades, maximize the incredible first-floor views, and extend existing entertainment space while enhancing the home’s overall livability. To ensure the renovation seamlessly integrated with the existing architecture, we drew inspiration from Coastal modernist principles, which perfectly reflect the area's character and charm.

We incorporated modern materials to harmonize with the existing structure, including steel battens, architectural metal cladding, timber accents, and feature concrete render. Given our client's passion for entertaining, and a large ‘why’ for their renovation, a central feature fireplace was added to the first-floor living area. This design element integrates the indoor and outdoor spaces, enhancing the overall ambience and flow of the space.
