Glenleith House

New Build.

Designing the Glenleith House for a young family of three was an exciting opportunity to create their forever home. The family’s vision centred around a minimalist aesthetic, with clean lines and a strong emphasis on privacy. While the structure needed to be solid and durable, they desired a tranquil, naturally lit environment with well-defined, intentional spaces.

In response to their brief, we envisioned a Contemporary Minimalist form, infused with Modernist influences. To bring a sense of harmony and calm, we incorporated biophilic elements throughout the entrance & all the living spaces, offering a refreshing contrast to the home's solid features.

The ground floor is dedicated to the living areas, including the kitchen and dining spaces, designed to flow seamlessly into adaptable indoor-to-outdoor public areas. The first floor houses the private spaces, including the bedrooms and an outdoor terrace, ensuring a peaceful retreat for each family member.

When selecting external materials, we opted for Australian-made bricks composed of natural sand and recyclable glass aggregates. This choice enhances sustainability by not only incorporating eco-friendly materials as well as supporting local manufacturing. The colour palette was carefully chosen to harmonize beautifully with the coastal surroundings, enhancing the home's connection to its natural environment.

Under Construction 2024.
